What is BESTAX?

Founded in September 1971, Southend Radio Cars rapidly grew to become the largest private hire company in Southend-on-Sea. As demand for our services increased year after year, our customer base expanded beyond Southend, prompting the need for further growth. In 2008, we united with Bestax Taxi Company of Rayleigh, and later, with Associated Radio Cars of Southend and RT Taxis of Rayleigh.

To streamline the booking process for our customers, we consolidated these well-established companies under one brand—BESTAX (formerly Cab Call). This new identity retains the rich history and core values of each company while offering the same high-quality service under one unified name.
